i'll tell ya, had some major successes yesterday but todays games are difficult. i wanna say i like Paraguay and Spain, and i do, especially Spain, but i'm not totally sold. i'm gonna wait till the in-plays roll off and try to make adjustments on the fly. it would not surprise me if the Japs got off a quick goal and change the whole strategy of the game. i see a low scoring tactical game tween the neighbors Spain & Portugal. what remains scary however is that every game in tha 2nd round has gone over. my suggestion - sit back & wait with the in-play!

these games are quite straightforward today i feel. just dump a bundle on both the dutch & brasil teams on the ML, they will not lose. the dutch seem to have the easier game, i actually like them to win by 2 goals. i believe we are seing some much more wide open play, i favor the over here. the brasil match could be a little tighter although brasil will still win. the start could be tactical until that 1st goal opens things up. i'm undecided on the over/under here and will prolly chance the in-play!

came out ahead yesterday on the strength of the 1st match, today's matchup is a classic. England v Germany - i wanna like the brits but i just cannot pull the trigger, even though i've seen the odds slide in their favor. the germans are sorta scary, they really don't impress but consistently get the job done. they always seem to put forth a solid team effort. the brits have looked lackluster so far. i see this match starting out tentative and then opening up towards the end of the 1st half. the over/under, although the under is favored i am not sold on. actually my gut screams germany & the over! back w/ the later game in a bit-

game # 1 - this is a no brainer. i really love Uruguay in this match and the under. heck, they haven't given up a goal yet. these plays should not miss back later with game 2 game # 2 - gotta side w/ the USA here. they really have been playing well and this should be a terrific game. their defense is suspect but howard in goal is solid. they have shown that they have the offensive prowess. i see a 2-1 USA win.watch it now, i was way off on the under in the 1st match although the in-play netted me some serious ca-ching.

man, i'll be glad when this round is over. so the ivory coast looks solid as a winner but by how much? not so sure about the 1.5 goals or the over as IC will hafta account for it all. i'm leaning over but not sold yet.

okay-so the morning went well as i had the ivory coast and over and also only messed with the under on the other game-no losers, always nice. spain really needs to win but i'm not sold on their performance this year, no matter how good they are supposed to be. i actually like chile getting the goal as i perceive this may also be a draw. now i do like the swiss for a 1-0, 2-0 win. easy here-swiss and under! to continued success this afternoon.

only a coupla more days till the real fun begins. the 1st set of games today i see being dominated by the favorites. i like both Paraguay &  Italy to win and move forward. a play on the spread may be worth the gamble to back up the steep odds on the ML. the under in the Italy game seems probable. after that i may start favoring overs. i see a wide open affair  in the kiwi/paraguay matchup.

later on this afternoon the games become more difficult. sure the Dutch should win but they don't need to as their ticket is punched and i really favor a draw here. if Cameroon is getting anything on the spread it may be worth it. over perhaps but not so sure. the Danes hafta win to advance so i favor them slightly and they are a good value on the ML. i see some goals here perhaps. i'll prolly be utilizing the in-play as it makes for some exciting wagering.

huge games today for the USA &  UK, let's take a peek.

i really like the chances today for the americans. they have played well and i feel they will come out on top in a do or die scenario. well, not really but  a win pushes them forward. algeria has played well but has yet to score. they will push to get it done and that should create opps for the US. they have already shown that they can score. play a little D and the game is theirs. US by 1 - the over/under is dicey.

tne brits hafta win this match and slovenia is no slouch of an opponent. i really feel the the UK will come out on top but that 1.5 goal margin on the spread is scary. i mean heck, the english haven't been actually burning up the twine now have they. i do expect a wide open game here after the 1st 15 minutes or so. i like the brits on the ml and the over.

will the real spain show up???? yesterday brasil finally should us a small glimpse of just how good they can be- spain should follow suit today with a 2-0, 3-0 win. they hafta put forth a solid effort after getting shocked by the swiss. i expect portugal to win and prolly cover that 1.5 in today's opening match.that's my call-porty 2-0, ml, spread, and under! today's toughest match is the chile/swiss game. i really like chile but feel a low scoring draw may be the inevitable outcome. both clubs have 3 points and would gladly accept a draw to get 4 and still be tied for 1st. expect some early on cautious play. best play here is under.

well, well, well - not sure about anyone else but this round one is puttin' a hurt on me! i started out strong but lately have had little success, save for yesterdays denmark win and that only broke even. the 1st 2 matches cost me 5-6 K. so onto todays offerings: #1 - paraguay v. slovakia - i see draw, what type i'm not sure.i may chance over. i like paraguay but they are missing key players. #2 - italy should win, and they need to but they are the WC's version of the 'over the hill gang'. i feel the under and italy to win on the ML are safe plays.do not give away more than 1 goal on the spread-you'll be sorry! #3 - brazil - this should be a terrific match and i love brazil but not by alot. the value for the win on the ML is terrific, just do it! i feel the over may be a good play here and i would not give away too many goals.

at 'em early the germans, who should win easily. they surprised alotta peeps w/ the 4 goal outburst in the 1st match. what to expect here? another solid win and they can literally coast into the 2nd round. the over may be worth a prudent risk. me - i'll wait to make a play and take advantage of that terrific in-play feature. with it yesterday i was able to cash in on the mexico/france match to the tune of 13K in points. more later on the other 2 BIG matches.

USA v. Slovenia - this is a tough one. for some reason i cannot seem to shake the draw outta my head. i hope not as i'm gonna back the US here. as to the over/under i may chance over as i feel the outcome could be 2-1.

England v. Algeria - the brits should win this easily and actually should cover the 1.5 spread on tha goals. they may make a statement here and they need a solid win. over/under is a tough call. i'm feeling a 2-0, perhaps 3-3 win.

match 2 - nigeria v. greece, well the greeks have been real disappointing and looked poorly. Nigeria meanwhile, did not look all that bad v. Argentina. I see a low scoring affair as the under will rule and i feel Nigeria can eek out a 1-0 win.

match3 - france v. mexico, france is in disarray - face it, perhaps karma is rearing its ugly head as they don't even belong here.anyway, they didn't look sharp at all in the 1st round while Mexico had their moments.I really feel that this match will end in a low scoring draw but would not be surprised by a short Mexico win.

well, late goals by the kiwis and north koreans really were tough pills to swallow and very costly.for today: match 1-chile v. honduras-gotta side with chile here, they are the better club.again, no surprise i like the under. a draw would not surprise me but a 1-0 chile win is my prediction. back w/ the other 2 matchups later

match 2-spain v. the swiss-spain will win but by how much.i wanna say over and by 2 but i am wary because of the conservative style of play exhibited by some of the premier clubs (argentina & brasil especially).i'll prolly chance it however.

match 3-bafana v. uruguay-i envision another draw or a short uruguay win.tough call here,definitely under. however i hear that uruguay may institute a 3 srtiker front line format that could open the game up-watch for gametime lineup.

sorry for the missing blog-was away for a day or 2 and had only limited computer access. onto today's offerings: 1-slovakia v. new zealand - i'd really be surprised by anything by a short slovakia win. i'll roll slovakia and the (big surprise) under. 2 - portugal v. ivory coast - now portugal should win this game.but play could be cautious as noone wants to get burned. drogba is prolly not playing, i gotta give a small nod to portugal although a draw here would not surprise me at all.under here as well. 3 - brazil v. n. korea - now there should be some goals here but just how many? the ver/under is set @ 3 so choose your poison.for mr i'll prolly still roll under as that has been a money pick.brazil to win easily and on the spread as well. good punting to all

so we have 2 games today with the host nsation in the 1st. never has the host nation either failed to win or draw. so take that to the bank. the south africans @ +200 are a good money making prop to win outright. and i'm tellin' ya here - they will not lose. i'm on them both on ML and spread. i also see this under, as does evryone else by the -185 odds!

game 2-france v. uruguay. i really  like uruguay here as well. now the french could decide to wake up & play today, which they are fully capable of, but the club is in some inner turmoil and their last coupla  friendlies point that out (remember that debacle w/ china?). i like uruguay here and the over. uruguay's defense is their weakest aspect but they have solid strikers. i'd expect a wide open game with perhaps 3-4 goals scored easy here.

3 matches today:

#1 - spain should win this game but by how much? the big question should be the weather as that could have a dramatic effect on the outcome of the game.yesterday and even today the pitch conditions were awful.will they wanna risk injury just before the cup? i think not.for that reason and call me crazy i actually like s. korea on the 1.5 goaline-i'm not sure that many goals are gonna be flying and spain by 2 in those conditions is questionable.

#2 - definitely like the odds here w/ italy, also the under.the italians play a very defensively controlled game so a 1-0 or 2-0 outcome would be predictable.

#3 - germany should romp here.will they score 4 goals, i'm not so sure but i'd go with them on the goalline.

a few matches today that could warrant some attention & play.i like the under play in the match involving greece/paraguay, and for some reason i like the greeks here even though paraguay is favored.

really like serbia & honduras to win-

on the risky side my favorite play of the day is ukraine, especially getting a 1/2 goal.i'll even be playing them for the outright win.

finally belarus surprised alotta peeps the other day and they could do it again.

already missed out on the big payday with the aussies coming thru in the later minutes.coupla decent plays remain however.i like portugal to win today but not by much-go with them and the under.on the other hand take the dutch and the over, should come thru for ya.not so sure about that swiss/costa rica match-decent odds for the ricans though if you care to chance.
